if they were to be collaborated in one movie.. it could possibly look like this.. maybe..

I had to fill my bathtub with a bunch of these playballs I got from wal mart. We tried to do a different idea with these outside but it didnt work out and I ended up getting a tick in my ear and my puppy got one in her chest.. GOOD TIMES!

This doesn't really follow any of my past works but I thought it came out pretty cool and dumb at the same time..

This stupid triflin' god damn son of a bitch ass f-cking bee stung me. Hahaha, I am not mad whatsoever, I just think that that is the funniest cursing fit I have ever heard. Spent all last night and part of this morning watching True Blood. Sex...sex and vampires. SsSSsSSssstupid Twilight has nothing on that show.
Anyways, Chynna(China), again, naked, on her very large slab of land. A rather impromptu photo "shoot" ( I always feel strange and undeserving when using that word). We were waiting for that tub to fill and I decided that these here four-foot-tall weeds need not be neglected. I might like this one better. . .no, I think I do like this one better. But that bee did sting me. And I have pictures of the bee attacking Chynna and she was flailing her arms --and therefore everything else-- all around...'twas humorous.

CONCEPTUAL ART NETWORK ANNOUNCES 1ST ANNUAL THEORIZE NEW YORK
INTERNATIONAL ARTIST-RUN ART FAIR
AT ARMORY ART WEEK 8—12 MARCH 2012

The non-profit international artist-run organization, Conceptual Arts Network, is pleased to announce the first ever “Theorize This – New York”, an international artist-run art fair to be held at the Wyndham Garden Inn, 37 W 24th Street, New York open daily 12pm-10pm with the Grand Opening scheduled Thursday, March 8th (5pm Exhibition opens; 6-10pm Opening Party).

In the tradition of the original Gramercy Hotel Art Fair, The Wyndham Garden Inn will be organized into numerous small artist-run galleries 8—12 March 2012. Serving as a satellite of the Armory Show, “Theorize This” will allow attendees to engage one-on-one with artists.

Theorize New York: Impossible to Understand was originally conceptualized and organized by artists Eric Ginsburg, David Pollack and Marina Reiter: “We are very excited to be able to bring this new art fair concept to the artist community. Theorize gives artists the opportunity to present their work to collectors and galleries directly and engage in an open dialogue. It’s all about giving the artists exposure, a chance to be seen and heard” said David Pollack of Theorize New York.

Art Fair Schedule:

Unfinished Goddess Kali Idol [ BW Version ]

Via Flickr:
This year this was my second visit to Kumartuli during my stay of 2 weeks at Kolkata. Kumartuli is colorful and eventful almost always. There is a saying that goes like “we Hindus have 13 festivals to enjoy in 12 months”; and almost all of them need a separate kind of Idols and accessories. And Kumartuli is the one stop shop for all that.

I’ve posted both BW and color version of this image. Let me know which one you like better.

Venue : Kumartuli, Kolkata [ Calcutta ], West Bengal, India

TRUE LOVE:If someone hates you, yet you still love them back. -Jane Tsai (Member of Chase Alias' Conceptual Art Network on G+)

David S Pollack aka Chase Alias hopes to bring to light with his new series, "Chase Alias' Esoterically Speaking Causes his Reclusively Being, 2010-2012", attempts to convey just how backwards moving our cultural standards seem feels to Chase. As a self portrait photographer he look back in envy at the freedoms which artists used to be able to express themselves without having to worry about cultural and even legal action being taken against them.

Dove Fighting at the Duomo di Milano

---

Today there is a shot of myself. Normally I am quite comfortable not being in front of the lens but I thought I have to show you this amazing photo. When I travel I use to do this ridiculous thing. I jump in front of every cool sight I visit. This looks quite stupid but it is a nice remembrance for the location. I will show it to my grand kids when I am old…

So this is me at the Duomo die Milano in Europe's fashion capital. You can see I tried to dress adequate :).

The cool thing is that there are pigeons all over the place. Just like in Venice… You can see them pretty clear on the photo. If you move quickly they all try to fly away and make a lot of noise.

So here I jump in front of the dome and a good friend of mine was so nice to shoot.

Recently I get a lot of emails on the topic “how do you get all your views, your favourites and comments.” Well I want to share it here because time allows me not to answer every email instantly.

My personal 10 Rules to get attention on Flickr:

1.
If you want people to interact on your stream, interact on theirs. Tell them your honest opinion, be a reliable contact.

2.
Don’t advertise on other peoples streams. Too bad I did this in the beginning of my Flickr time. I am really
sorry for every advertisement I did on somebody's stream. People will hate you, block you and sent you some harsh messages.

3.
Try to post good, interesting and unique material. Don’t try to copy this person or that person. Find your own style and present it in a nice way. Also write something to your images like feelings you had when you took it or a song that comes to your mind when you look at the photo. Be creative! Because that’s what Flickr is about!

4.
Don’t try hard to be successful or something like this. Believe me you are not! Not even if you have 10 million views. For the big guys like for example Trey Redcliff or The White house this is just peanuts. Better try to have fun with photography because if you have fun the rest will come on its own.

5.
Try out some groups in the beginning. Even though all these blinking group badges are annoying it helps you to get some nice contacts. But find the point where to stop with this and get serious contacts with whom you interact ---> See point #1

6.
Try to get your shots on Explore :) (Somehow this only happens by accident every now and then)

7.
Don’t be rude because you think you are cool! In germany we have a saying:” Grüße die Menschen auf deinem Weg nach oben, denn wenn es für dich mal nach unten geht, wirst du ihnen wieder begegnen!“ which means: Be nice to the people on your way to the top because when you fall down you will see them again“

8.
Use Creative Commons to advertise your photos. In two or three years there will be tools to automatically detect who first released a photo. So why have fear that someone could steal your image. Professional companies don’t use your photos for commercials they fear lawsuits. Creative Commons works for your advertisement all over the world 24 hours without you being active.

9.
Use other Media to get your photos around. For example Twitter, Tumblr, a blog… you know all of these platforms. Mostly you are able to automatically post your photos to all these Websites without doing any hand clap

10.
Don’t take it too serious and eat chocolate! :)

I hope this helps! See you around

The Holy Roman Empire,  Time, Sex, Healthcare and War and Greece, the 70's, Queen Elizabeth, the antichrist, Contraception and did I mention Sex?

The decade of the 70's is clearly a hallmark to the end of the Holy Roman Empire.  It was in the 70's that we really began to believe in contraception and followed it with such reckless abandon that we found ourselves in the 1980's with AIDS and Ronald Reagan.

Now, I'm not for the end of civilization entirely,  but I have lived in Greece.  And I have to say it was amazing.  If there was one place to which I would return to stay it would be Greece.  The islands though, Athens was very slippery and kinda dirty.  What's going on there now is amazing.  I hope the people win. But, anyway...

Regardless of the 70's, or Obama, or even Bush, civilization is not coming to an end as many would say, it is becoming a beginning.  We are only on the very cusp of learning what it means to be human, let alone civilized.  Humanity has only been around for a few millenia.  We've hardly stretched our wings.

The history of the Earth is so much greater than this moment.  But there is one thing for certain, The United States is a moral beacon in the world at large and I believe we are becoming more aware of that as a whole as these current moments progress.  There is right and wrong.  There is good and evil.  There are rich and poor.

I think we need to accept the fact that we print money now in this country.  We don't rely on anything from the ground to value our currency.  Therefor, we can indeed afford to provide our citizens universal coverage, birth to death, and contraception beforehand.  I think: "every child: a wanted child" is a pretty good motto.  Queen Elizabeth was the first to recognize that a country is responsible for its inhabitants and we cannot argue that our culture though very diverse and somehow also catholic (small c) is firmly planted in English soil.

Unfortunately, we ran too much to imperialism under Herr Bush.  It fascinates me how this truly wicked man could somehow roll fascism, imperialism and capitalism all into one and still come up a loser...but who am I to judge an antichrist.  We cannot invade another country again, for any purpose.  Obama had it right in Libya and Iraq and Afghanistan and hopefully, Iran.  Israel will take care of Iran, they might make it into a piece of glass, but that's their game, not ours.  We need first to take care of ourselves.  As Jesus said: "How can you help me if you can't even help yourself."

The liberalism of our sexuality though initially devastating has helped us to grow as a culture and we can only get better from here.  So let us embrace this  moment, though there will undoubtedly be more, there's no guarantee there will be for you.  Take deep breaths!  Stop Rushing!  Look around!  Soak it in!  Only God knows how many more moments you'll have.  Really live in the ones you have left.

I mean, who knew I'd ever walk away from that crash except maybe the makers of MiniCooper?
